Life is like Watercolor
Life has become quieter these days. The itch to be on my phone, the insatiable desire to scroll, have begun to lessen as I turn my attention to pleasures that are simpler and softer. Calling instead of texting, showering in silence, watching a thirty-minute episode of “Leave It To Beaver” instead of thirty Youtube shorts. The journey of crafting a simple life is just beginning, there are still some habits I’m trying to kick, but every decision I make drives me closer to the reality I’m craving. My days have become a gentle thrum of rhythms and routine, and even though I’ve experienced boredom from time to time, I feel alive and aware of my life, my thoughts, and the people around me. Deleting my accounts from social media was the best decision I ever made. Although it may have seemed sudden, years of prayer, consideration, and mediation went into the decision.
